Embracing The Three “Gs” Together

Over the last couple of years we have been considering what has become known as the 3 Gs: Gifts (specifically the 5 voices of Eph. 4:11), Gender and Generations. These three topics impact all the areas in which we work. How do these gifts reveal themselves in our work? What gifts are needed for a particular job? Who has the gifts that complement mine? Does the use of this gift require a man or woman – or does it make any difference? How young can someone be to fill a leadership position? How do we relate to those generations above and below us? DISCIPLESHIP

The gospel charges us to make disciples of all people, those who follow Jesus Christ in both thought and practice. Discipleship includes a growing, personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ; welcoming Christ’s lordship over our lives and our possessions; submitting to the doctrinal and ethical demands of his teaching in the Scripture; maturing in Christ character and godly disciplines; membering oneself in a local church body; and serving the Lord wholeheartedly in all that we do.
